The transition from elementary to middle is a
big change in your life. You’ve been used to
the same school and teachers for almost 6
years then you go to a total different one!
This interview will give you an inside look on
the thoughts of former 5th graders who have
made the transition.

What is it like to have more than one
teacher? Is it easy for you or hard?
“ It’s harder because you have to move to
different classes and there are more
assignments.”
Is it difficult to have multiple periods and
subjects? If is is, why?
“ No not much difference from elementary
because you have different subjects in
elementary, just hard to move to different
classrooms.”
What are some major differences or maybe
small differences that you noticed from
elementary to middle school?
“ There is a lot more people and private
restrooms for the teachers.”
How do you feel about the
long lunch lines and short
lunches?
“ If you’re at the end of the line
and you can’t cut, you won’t
have time to eat and play.”
