… As she laid in her bed, her Mother’s words were echoing in her mind. “You have a heart of gold, strength of steel, and are as brilliant as they come. No one can break you. I wish your dad was here to see you, pressing on.” “I’m right here.” stated a male voice. Aurora shot up and instantaneously poked her head through the opening of the canopy. Not a single person was present. “I’m just tired … and sad. I just need rest, that’s all” She thought to herself. She laid back down and proceeded to doze off into dreamland. Yet as she closed her eyes, pitch black slowly blended itself into a radiant shade of gold. It was almost as if she was shrunken down and implanted into a glowing amber. Butterflies flew every which way throughout the sun-drenched paradise. A path appeared in front of her; next to it, a wooden sign read, “ For Aurora .” She began to walk down the path; the edges of the path were practically overflowing with a variety of teal-greenish plants and flowers. A mint-colored dumbo Octopus buried its lovable form in the sand. The amber glow coming from outside the cube casted rainbows on Aurora’s skin through the ripples. Suddenly, all of the fish simultaneously flew together into a spinning cylinder of life and purity. Then, unexpectedly, all the fishes swam away from each other revealing her father; he stepped out of the water barrier and walked closer to her. He kneeled there, arms opened wide waiting for a hug only three feet away from her. She immediately plunged into his arms, tearful at the fact that she was experiencing a warm embrace with her father, the man that was killed six gloomy years ago. “I missed you!” she pronounced, her voice cracky. “I missed you, too.” he replied as he gradually pulled away from her. “Just thought I might say hello to my magnificent daughter. Maybe offer a few words of wisdom and answers.” He kissed Aurora’s head softly. “Just because your nails don’t glow doesn’t mean your thoughts, opinions, emotions, and words aren’t valid. You are lovable, con
