Be the Rose
A bright great smile,
in the field of pure black sorrow.
Proves that being like the others,
means that you are just simply
another.
But if you decide to be true,
perhaps you won't feel as blue.
For it is better to feel joy,
then to lose your own voice.
Being different isn't bad at all,
it is far better than being a classic
Barbie doll.
For those who feel the need to fit
in,
they won't be the ones who always
win.
You shouldn't be a copy,
yes, maybe being different will
sometimes make you look sloppy.
But that shouldn't scare you,
you shouldn’t care if everyone
boos.
If being yourself makes you happy,
then it doesn't matter what others
do.
