The Jaws Raw Chrome Wedge from Callaway is one of our favorites , and more and more golfers are picking it up in the shop . The Jaws groove design uses an extremely sharp edge radius to generate more spin and precise control . Callaway also utilizes a Groove-in-Groove Technology that features micro-positive surface texture with radius grooves raised off the face . Wedges are a club that is used very often , and golfers will face a variety of playing conditions with them that lead to the groove edges wearing down over time . Shot friction created at impact from dirt or sand generates heat and can cause gradual groove wear .
