Elise Eckert – Seaman High School
Elise Eckert, a graduate of Seaman High School, will attend Pittsburg State University and pursue a degree in Interior Design. An accomplished student with a 3.95 unweighted GPA, Eckert earned multiple academic and athletic honors, including First Team All-State recognition in golf. She has been actively involved in Central Links Golf and community volunteer efforts supporting golf tournaments across Kansas. Her achievements reflect a strong commitment to leadership, service, and academic success.

Gavin Wahl – South Gray High School
Gavin Wahl graduates from South Gray High School and plans to attend Garden City Community College before pursuing a career in engineering. One of Kansas’ most accomplished junior golfers, Wahl is a two-time Class 1A State Champion, multiple-time All-State selection, and Kansas Amateur Match Play qualifier. In addition to his success on the golf course, he has excelled in basketball, band, and vocal music, while serving his school through organizations including FCCLA, FCA, National Honor Society, and Student Council.
Tyler Deterding – Kansas Women’ s Golf Association Memorial Scholarship Recipient
Tyler Deterding is a Construction Management student-athlete at Park University who recently completed his freshman year on the men’ s golf team. He earned Dean’ s List honors both semesters, completed 36 credit hours, and posted a 76.8 scoring average. A graduate of Eudora High School, he earned All-Frontier League, All- Area, and Class 4A All-State honors while winning three individual state medals. Active in FCA, FBLA, NHS, and the Cardinal Corps leadership program, Deterding credits golf— introduced to him by his grandfather— with shaping his work ethic, character, and career goals.
The Kansas Golf Foundation’ s KJG Scholarship provides support and promotes junior golf programs throughout the state of Kansas by providing opportunities for young golfers to develop life skills, pursue educational goals and grow their passion for the game. Through scholarships and other initiatives, the Foundation invests in the next generation of leaders both on and off the golf course.
