Get Your Junior in U. S. Kids Golf the feel, proceed to chip shots. The objective is to land your golf ball on the towel. You can make up the points and distances as you go! Watch as the towel gathers up the golf ball when the ball lands on it, it’ s so satisfying and gives instant positive feedback! Feel free to change the size of the towel based on the player’ s ability. For me, I use a regular“ golf towel,” slightly bigger than the conventional hand towel. For a novice golfer, I recommend using a shower or lager beach towel!

Putting Match Game

The U. S. Kids Golf Local Kansas City Tour offers one-day family fun. Giving young golfers and parents the chance to experience tournament golf in a welcoming atmosphere. Parents are encouraged to caddie during the one-day events, where young players learn to shoot low scores by competing over yardages scaled to their age and ability.

You will need nine golf tees circling the pin / hole.
The Putting Match game is my all-time favorite game as an entry into competitive golf! To play this game, you will need nine golf tees and a hole on the putting green. You will pick a distance to putt from based on skill level. I suggest two-to-three feet distances for beginner golfers, four-to-five feet for intermediate golfers, and for advanced golfers, a hole on a slope with putts from no more than six feet. Place all nine tees around the hole at the same distance. Each player starts from a tee on opposite sides. If a putt is made from that tee position, the player is one-under par; if the putt is short of the hole from the tee position, the player is one-over par; if the player misses the putt but the putt travels past the hole, the player gets even par. Go around all nine tees playing against your partner. At the end of the“ 9 holes,” state your“ front-nine” score, then go around once more and play“ the back-nine” the same way. After you have putted 18 putts, state your scores to determine the winner!
This game is also an excellent opportunity to discuss putting aim and alignment. Utilize the line on the golf ball by pointing it to the cup, then match up the line on the putter to the line on the ball, and you are set up for success!
I hope this golf season is filled with a lot of golf, and you enjoy these games at your local course! I’ m on a mission to help people“ Enjoy Golf for a Lifetime.” With these games and some practice, I hope you’ ll join me on my mission!

U. S. Kids Golf Local Tours, founded in 2002, allows players at all levels to enjoy tournament participation while learning, competing, and spending time with new friends. There are now more than 115 U. S. Kids Golf Local Tours operating worldwide.
Junior golfers ages 6 to 18 start at a Local Tour level, and can advance as they improve to State, Regional, and even international competitions. The top-performing players, as determined by our Priority Status Rankings, can earn invitations to events above Local Tours up to and including the World Championship.
The Local Kansas City Tour is designed for beginner to mid-level competitive golfers, as each event provides a fun environment where kids in the same age groups can develop their skills. Additionally, there are two-day tournaments, such as Regional Championships, that rank players by a Junior Golf Scoreboard and are the natural next step for competitive junior golfers. At each level, players may earn“ Priority Status” in hopes of qualifying for the World Championship held annually in Pinehurst, N. C. Averaging more than 1,200 players from 50 countries since 2013, players vie for the title of World Champion in 13 age divisions. Since 2013, several Kansas City area junior golfers have played in the championship.
