« Attraverso sistemi

A stamping press tailored to the task

To process high-strength steels up to 8 mm thick while maintaining centesimal accuracy and production continuity, BORA has developed in cooperation with AIDA a mechanical press designed to meet actual operating needs.
Fifty years have passed since it was established, but the guiding principle behind BORA has remained the same: not simply stamping a component, but designing, industrialising and producing it as efficiently as possible. This vision has guided the Italian company through its transformation from a local die maker into a technological partner for sheet metal forming at the service of major automotive and home appliance manufacturers throughout Europe. Over the years, this growth path has required continuous investments in expertise, in-house design and production technologies. Among these, the introduction of a 2,500-ton AIDA mechanical press with a compact 4,400 x 1,500 mm plate has marked a decisive step, as it allowed the company to process highstrength steels up to 8 mm thick, ensuring production continuity and meeting the strict tolerances of the automotive industry.
FROM DIES TO ADVANCED STAMPING TECHNOLOGY " Our company was founded in 1975," explains Elio Bora, founder and technical director of BORA. " In the early years, we focused exclusively on dies. Later, we began purchasing our first presses to test them in-house. Then, after the transfer to the new premises in Maiolati Spontini( near Ancona) in 1983, we gradually dedicated ourselves to contract stamping ". The experience gained in die design and production has never been abandoned. On the contrary, it has become one of the company ' s distinctive features. " Die production has always been a strength of us," emphasises the company ' s founder. " We believe it adds value because we develop our die technology inhouse and customers can directly oversee all the phases, from design to production ". The market has gone through major changes over the years. While the initial core business was home appliances, the relocation of production to Eastern Europe forced the company to rethink its corporate vision. " In 2006 we opened a plant in Poland, near Czȩstochowa, with the aim of supporting our customers operating in the home appliance industry," explains the technical director. " At the same time, we diversified our production in Italy, increasingly focusing on the automotive sector ". This decision also radically changed the stamping processes. " We moved from thin sheet metal for home appliances to structural
