Software e ufficio tecnico: l ' integrazione vincente Per Metal Working, l ' automazione non si limita all ' introduzione di nuove macchine. Un ruolo determinante è stato svolto anche dall ' integrazione tra ufficio tecnico, produzione e software di gestione sviluppati da Prima Power. « C ' è stato un grosso lavoro da parte del nostro ufficio tecnico – afferma Zomer – Abbiamo adattato la progettazione alle macchine e sviluppato una serie di processi che oggi permettono di passare automaticamente dal disegno tridimensionale al pezzo tagliato e poi piegato ». Secondo il socio e fondatore dell’ azienda, anche i software hanno contribuito in modo significativo a questo percorso: « I software Prima Power, contestualizzati alla lavorazione della lamiera, sono stati e sono tutt’ ora fondamentali per noi ».
Un percorso costruito insieme a Prima Power L ' evoluzione tecnologica di Metal Working è iniziata nel 2008 con una punzonatrice F6 Express stand alone con carico e scarico manuale. Negli anni successivi il sistema produttivo è cresciuto passo dopo passo: prima la combinata laser con magazzino verticale, poi l ' integrazione con la pannellatrice Fast Bend FBe6 e, infine, il collegamento automatico tra taglio, stoccaggio e piegatura attraverso Night Train FMS ed Express Bender. Metal Working: how Prima Power Automation transformed production
From a stand-alone punching machine to a highly automated production system: how Metal Working managed to improve flexibility, productivity and process management thanks to Prima Power solutions.
Metal Working has built its industrial growth along a straightforward path, investing in automation to increase production flexibility without affecting its ability to customise its products. This journey began over fifteen years ago and was developed together with Prima Power, a technology partner that has supported the company in the evolution of sheet metal working processes. Based in Pergine Valsugana( near Trento), Metal Working manufactures industrial filtration systems and metal structures for elevators, lifting platforms, freight elevators and car lifts. These seemingly standardised systems are actually highly customisable products able to meet specific market needs. " Our two activity areas share the speed, accuracy, repeatability and flexibility required by the market," explains Paolo Zomer, partner and founder of Metal Working. " Our strength is customisation, that is adapting to the customer ' s requests and being able to meet them." To achieve this goal, over the years the company has gradually automated the various steps of its production processes, building an integrated system that today connects cutting, sheet metal handling and bending.
NIGHT TRAIN FMS: THE HEART OF AUTOMATION Among the technologies that have supported the evolution of Metal Working, Prima Power Night Train FMS system plays a central role. This automated warehouse, configured with 320 positions, connects the various production steps, automating sheet metal handling and leaving room for future expansion. One of the most significant advantages is the elimination of the manual separation of pieces after cutting, reducing idle times and improving the management of the production flow. As the company ' s founder confirms: " Thanks to Night Train FMS, we have eliminated the manual separation of pieces. This system has helped reduce downtime, improve component traceability and streamline the entire production process.”
FROM FAST BEND FBE6 TO EXPRESS BENDER: THE EVOLUTION OF BENDING The automation plans have also involved the bending process. In 2017, Metal Working introduced the Fast Bend FBe6 panel bender, a solution that has boosted productivity while maintaining high flexibility thanks to the ability to perform free bending jobs.
