what we have today. It not only lets us communicate with people around the world, but lets us express thoughts.

But writing didn’t make us peaceful. Guns were invented when gunpowder was discovered. Guns were much more useful than weapons like the crossbow, for the crossbow could fire three to four hundred feet and fire two bolts per minute. Guns started with slow reloading and need of fire, but soon we learned about friction. Friction was used to make the spark instead of carrying fire around. But the friction wasn’t fully reliable, so flint was used instead.

The guns made competition more deadly. When someone was truly hated, a duel would be commences. It was thought of a fair competition where you would count to three, turn and shoot. The hard part of the duel was that there was only one bullet in the chamber. It gave the game more fairness, so that if you miss, you can’t just shoot again. Whoever died was still respected and this sport was thought of as sophisticated. But killing someone is too harsh for sport, so this duel died out.

The gun also received countless updates over the years, such as when the musket was replaced with the revolver which could fire multiple bullets without reloading, the machine gun which fired several times without having to keep pulling the trigger, the two-barreled shotgun, and finally our modern day handgun. The handgun was the typical today pistol. It was made with mobility, lots of ammo and easy reloading. It had a block form with the handle holing the magazine. It was mainly a cock once and then it automatically will cock again after the shot. This gun had typical bullets, and even though it changed forms, it stayed the same as the best pistol model.

Math came and gave people a new way to think. Philosophy became big, and the most known philosopher Socrates, had new ideas on life. Soon, everyone started to wonder about the world. The biggest controversy was the idea of the world not being flat. So, one man named Christopher Columbus took up the task of finding out. The boat was a very helpful piece of technology in this endeavor. It let us explore further than we could before, across the water. It started out as a small raft type boat used for easier fishing. It was made bigger, into the canoe. Fishing was the only purpose of a boat until trading became big across nations. It was then used for transporting faster, as the boat got bigger.
