invention of ink, the paper came around. Papyrus and parchment were the most common use of paper being used by the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and Hebrews. Papyrus was mostly famous in Egypt, commonly known as Prisse papyrus today. The Romans made a reed-pen that was perfect for the parchment and ink due to the hollow tubular body made from marsh grass, as well as the jointed bamboo plant.

That stick for pens was soon turned into a primitive fountain pen for it was filled with ink and when squeezed, it would release the ink. Soon China invented the wood-fiber paper in 105 A.D. and didn’t spread until six hundred years later. Around that time though, the most used pen was made; the quill pen. It is simply a feather from a bird, better if it is living and from the outer wing. The left wing was more common for it curved to fit the style of one who is right-handed. The downfall with the quill pen was that it had to be replaced every week and took a long time to prepare.

Plant-fiber for paper became extreme when Johannes Gutenberg made the printing machine. More printing machines were made based on the design of his printing machine. It was needed when more forms of our letters appeared. The types that were made were lower-case, capital, bold, and italic letters. One style that changed the speed in which we write was cursive. That was truly the end of creating for we had perfect ink, writing instruments and styles.

Along with writing came math. It was a concept that helped us to perceive our own world into writing. It allowed us to measure, analyze and philosophy. It helped us to make more creations while analyzing all of the outcomes and possibilities. Time came and went with one major technology being invented. Gunpowder was discovered and along with it came the matchlock. It was a basic gun that ignites the power and a ball came out. But soon thoughts were spread and the Earth became flat. It was the era of scientists at their best. They wanted to know, to find data that will prove or disprove the theory. They wanted to explore the unexplored. So, they built a boat, a really big boat.
