The second skill you have to dominate is nonverbal communication. This will help the listener understand more what you are trying to say to them. This includes body language, facial expressions, gesture, eye contact and your tone of voice. The way you look, listen, move, and react to another person tells them more about how you’re feeling than words alone. Having the skill of nonverbal communication will help you connect with other and build stronger relationships where there is a much more bigger understanding of their feelings. Some of the things you have to do are:

Open body language (arms uncrossed, gestures, eye contact).

Emphasize your message (patting a friend on the back).

Be aware of individual differences.

Use nonverbal signs that match what you are saying.

Use body language for positive feelings.
