Tear in the Radio #2 - The Stolen Volume 2 | Page 42
Q. ARE THERE ANY PARTICULAR STORIES OR THEMES IN THE LYRICS?
JOANNA: Sex. This is my favorite story to tell. “Foreplay” wasn’t originally
about foreplay, Young J over here (Jesse) has the best mind ever and to
him, foreplay was just like the prologue to something else. So to him,
foreplay was like talking to his girl and we’re gonna dance and what
happens before a relationship. Me being the bearer of bad news had to
be like Young J, actually foreplay is like what happens before sex. So the
song went from being Rated G to Rated R really quick.

TYLER: Just like this interview.
JOANNA: “Endlessly” is about enjoying the person you love and wanting
to explore life with them. Jesse was the main writer on that and he was
influenced by a bad relationship fight I had with my boyfriend.
JESSE: *chuckles to himself, shamelessly* Lol, yeah
JOANNA: He says, “It sounds like you love him but you hate him.”
JESSE: I do a lot of objective writing.
JOANNA: So Jesse killed it with that one.
Q. If you weren’t in this band, what would you be doing now?
