Repaying profits
from subletting
Comms and Technology have the end of December
2015 highlighted in their calendar because our
brand new website will become live!
Nikki Joyce, Housing Officer,
led on a subletting investigation
with Croydon Council. It was
found a resident had
been using the website
Airbnb to sublet our
home since March
2012. He’s agreed
to end his tenancy,
while paying back
£2,400 in profits and
£900 rent arrears.
Choosing not to
take legal action
has also led to
£2,500 in savings.
We just want to say
a massive thanks
to everybody who’s
been involved. And
thanks to the Resident
Involvement Teams
who helped arrange
successful focus
groups. We’re excited
with the results so far
and we hope you like
the first phase!
