TeamTALK Spring 2014 | Page 26

The Interview continued... MB – Now that you have taken it seriously have you been getting the respect you deserve from friends and family? SB - Not at all, this one guy I really look up to keeps accusing me of cheating! That hurts a little…. MB – You look a little upset Scott, do you need a break? SB- No I’m fine, I promised myself I wouldn’t cry. MB – Great, that’s the spirit of a champion if I ever saw it. Lets move on to something that should cheer you up. Your winnings, what will they be spent on? SB – A bottle of Jim Bean will be the first purchase but I have just moved to Milton Keynes so I guess I will get some things for the house as well. MB – Jim Bean, a fine choice. What team do you support and does that affect your Fantasy Football picks? SB - I support Arsenal. Most of my mates do as well so picking Tottenham players would be like blasphemy to them and could even damage my chances of being invited to watch games. Luckily, not having Tottenham players has been a blessing this season. MB – Ok here’s a tough one, if you had had Rooney as captain in a game week, and he scored twice against Arsenal, would you have been just a little bit pleased? Come on, be honest! SB - Haha, well it’s best to look on the bright side of life so although I wouldn’t be happy at all about it there would be that voice in the back of my head saying well at least it was Rooney. MB – I wonder how your arsenal friends back home will feel about that….. Every now and again we all have a really disappointing gameweek. When it happens to you, how do you pick yourself up afterwards? SB – Like I said before I try to look on the bright side of life so if one week it goes badly I just focus on the upcoming week. MB – There has been a lot of debate in the office about whether it is worth taking a 4 point hit to make a 2nd transfer. What do you think? SB - Each hit should be considered on its own merits, sometimes it’s worth 4 points, sometimes it’s not. You just have to work out which ones are and which ones aren’t worth taking. I probably took too many hits this year (22) so will be a bit more careful next year but if I hadn’t taken any hits at all I think I’d have ended up scoring a lot less points. MB - What has been the best piece of advice you’ve given to someone this season? SB – Don’t eat yellow snow.
