Remember to discuss any article with at your next team meeting Message from Paul Hackett Commitment to diversity Hot off the press! We’ve successfully retained the Customer Service Excellence accreditation with some glowing words from the accreditor! The standard helps organisations benchmark their performance and it reflects the great work of Response and our customer facing colleagues in our local offices. I’m so proud of the amazing commitment staff give to providing great customer service every day. Going for Gold! We’re on target with all five of our Gold Medal KPIs! This is a stunning result at the mid year point. A massive well done to everyone involved. I’m really proud of the fantastic people who work for AmicusHorizon. And I know from the weekly letters I write to staff just how many amazing unsung heroes we have. We’ve people who go the extra mile for our customers because they really care and want to make a difference. Our three year goal of being Number One Large Landlord in the UK is within sight. Let’s pull out all the stops and stay on track for the remaining six months of the financial year and achieve all five Gold Medals in March 2016. And when we do, all eligible staff will get a £500 bonus AND two extra days annual leave. Read the latest Going for Gold bulletin here. Well done to our very own Kate Dodsworth who spoke at this year’s National Housing Federation (NHF) conference about our commitment to diversity. To quote Kate: “AmicusHorizon believes in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels comfortable and respected, irrespective of their background. This enables everyone to bring their ‘A-game’ to work. And in return, AmicusHorizon expects the best and gets the best from our people.” Right to Buy update We played an important role in helping the National Housing Federation negotiate a voluntary deal on the right to buy extension with government. If the deal is adopted it will avoid right to buy being forced on housing associations through law. And in avoiding legislation it’ll help protect the sector’s independence. www.ahintranet.org.uk/teamtalk 2 Edition 64 - June 2015
