WE DID: „„ We’ll remind everyone to use ‘time speak’ and to understand giving realistic deadlines isn’t saying no! „„ We’ll continue to deliver the Gober 4LS refresher and offer everyone the chance to attend Gober STAR Service training again if they need it. WE DID: „„ AH Academy has developed a new STAR managers module called #RealTalk giving managers practical tools and techniques. This will be followed by a session for staff. YOU SAID Policies on flexible working and time off in lieu weren’t being consistently implemented across the business. WE DID: „„ You gave us some great suggestions of ways you already do this during the PEG sessions – we’ll put these on YoDa. Keep sending your ideas through! YOU SAID Some of us find it hard to have difficult conversations with colleagues when we need to. So we’re off and running with the roll out of our thought provoking and, some have said life changing programme, called ‘My Best Self’. You should have seen our previous emails about this and know when you’ll get your personal invite. If not, please get in touch and we can help secure your place! Culture, culture, culture WE DID: „„ Created a briefing for EMT to refresh all managers, this will be delivered by end of April. These will be supported by teleconference sessions for staff. YOU SAID You were busy and needed some ideas of how to ease the pressure from time to time. Our culture is key to our continued and sustained success. We all need to take ownership and responsibility to keep it alive and well. This means: „„ Congratulate and recognise colleagues when you see them demonstrating the fantastic elements of our culture and give them a gentle nudge if you see behaviours that don’t fit with our culture „„ Always remember to give a positive first response – on the phone, in person and on email! „„ Use time speak at every opportunity to ensure we all keep our promises and create clear expectations.
