TIMEKEEPING / PAYROLL
If you are an hourly and / or nonexempt Team Member , this policy applies to you .
Timekeeping 400
Effective Date : 01 / 01 / 2017 Revised : 09 / 01 / 2022
In order to properly calculate your pay and benefits , federal and state laws require us to keep an accurate record of all time you work , no matter how small the increment . As a result , it is your responsibility to record all of the time you spend working .
Time worked is all the time actually spent performing assigned duties , including work performed away from our workplace , such as at job sites , or from your home . You should accurately record the time you begin and end your work .
Working “ off the clock ” is prohibited if you are a non-exempt team member . Non-exempt team members should record all hours working , regardless if they are working from home , responding to emails , answering phone calls , etc . It is the team members responsibility to keep track of these hours and submit them for approval to their supervisor . Managers of non-exempt team members should be mindful of sending emails or assigning tasks during “ off hours ”. You should also record the beginning and ending time of any split shift or departure from work for personal reasons . Team members should clock in when they begin to work , which is generally no earlier than 5 minutes before their scheduled shift , unless approved by their supervisor .
You must obtain your supervisor ’ s approval before performing any overtime work .
The time clock automatically takes a 30-minute break off of your time record once you have worked 6 ½ hours . You must notify your supervisor and amend your time record promptly if you do not take a 30-minute lunch break or if you work during any part of your lunch break .
You may be subject to disciplinary action , up to and including termination of employment , if you alter , falsify , or tamper with time records , or record time on another Team Member ’ s time record .
You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all time you record . Your supervisor will review and then certify your time record before submitting it for payroll processing . If corrections or modifications are made to the time record , both you and your supervisor must verify the accuracy of the changes to the time record .
Paydays 401
Effective Date : 01 / 01 / 2017
You are paid biweekly on every other Thursday . Each paycheck will include earnings for all work performed through the end of the previous payroll period . We strongly encourage you to have your paycheck directly deposited into your bank account . If you choose direct deposit , you will receive an itemized statement of wages when we directly deposit your paycheck .
If a regularly scheduled payday falls on a day off such as a weekend or holiday , you will be paid on the last day of work before the regularly scheduled payday .
