22. What is learning about?
Traditionally, research and
studies around learning
focused primarily on early-
years learning through
childhood
and
adolescence. However, it is
now
recognized
that
learning is a continuous
process that commences at
birth and continues until
death; it is the process
through which we use our
experience to deal with
new situations and to
develop
relationships.
Reflection:
We learn everything, from
walking to eat, study, to
cry, to run, and of course
we learn at school; since a
young age, we go to school
thinking that we will see
our friends, and play with
them during the recess, the
teachers were also an
important part of going to
school.
Some teachers were bad
with us, some others were
almost like an uncle for us,
but as we grow up, we
associate learning with a
difficult
task,
maybe
because we’re not used to
study instead of playing.
Teachers are an important
part of grow up because
they teach us not only
topics, but also values to
life our daily lives.
If we decide to be teachers,
we should have in mind
that we don’t want to be the
kind of teacher that every
kid hates, the ones who is
not comprehensible with
them or has certain
preference (that bothers
every student), or someone
who is teaching only for
the money.
