In Italy - One of Many “ Davids ”
During our eighth graders ’ extraordinary annual tour of Italy , the boys explored masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture in Florence , including the Bargello , where they sketched Verrocchio ’ s “ David ” - one of four “ Davids ” that they saw during the trip . At various sites , boys gave presentations to their classmates about the Florentine buildings they researched for their winter Via

Blueprints for Life
Fifth and eighth graders explored the world of DNA through our continuing partnership with geneticists from DNALC Learning Center at Cold Spring Harbor . In sessions both at the DNALC facility and in our school ’ s labs , the boys engaged actively in the study of DNA , learning about adaptation and natural selection ; and applying DNA extraction , analysis , and barcoding to investigate the biodiversity of ants in our urban ecosystem .
