Keeping track
We can learn a lot about teaching by discussing and talking about materials and techniques,
however, most of the skills, even speaking, we cannot learn it without practicing. It is focused on
four areas:
1. Sensitivity to problems of language use for learners.
2. Sensitivity to how learners learn, the skills they need, the strategies they employ and the
problems they have.
3. Classroom management skills.
4. Teaching techniques.
Some of the objectives that this feature has are:
1. To allow you to simulate or approach the real teaching situation under sympathetic
supervision.
2. To provide you with an opportunity to try out techniques.
3. To provide and arena for assessment.
4. To provide you with an opportunity to have your teaching evaluated and constructively
criticized.
But also depending on the overall aims of particular course and the stage that TP has reached.
