I do many things to stay healthy
here in the UAE. To stay, physically fit,
I walk, do push-ups, squats and swim
at least three times a week. To stay
mentally sound, I spend a lot of time
with my family keeping up with our
hobbies and interests. We find creative
and stimulating outlets at home and in
the Emirates.
The most important way to stay
healthy for me is to surround myself
with positive people. Through faith,
prayer and accountability, I am able to
maintain the balance necessary to be
effective with my students. My children
keep me active and help me to stay
grounded with great perspective on
what is most important.
As an educator, I think it is important
to remain healthy on three levels. Firstly
I must be spiritually healthy. This includes
immersing myself in the doctrine the
faith acknowledging the God of my
salvation. Secondly I try to keep myself
academically healthy by keep abreast
of the trends in the sector. Finally,
physical health comes by eating well
and pounding the streets at least once
a week for about forty minutes.
