ACADEMIC ASSESSMENTS

LEADERSHIP FRAMEWORK

Our Academic Assessments are conducted at the beginning and end of each school year . In 2023 , 161 Teacher-Leaders from the seventh and eighth cohorts administered both diagnostic and summative assessments to 2,471 students in September 2022 and May 2023 . These assessments covered various subjects , including Armenian language and history , math , science , physical education , and art . Each assessment measured growth in three key areas based on Bloom ' s Taxonomy : Knowledge , Application , and Critical Thinking .
Additionally , students achieved a notable 15 % increase in Content Mastery across all subject areas , meeting the targets set for the first and second-year Teacher- Leaders
In early 2022 , Teach For Armenia developed a Leadership Framework , inspired by Teach For All ’ s concept of Teaching as Collective Leadership . This framework consists of 25 statements and includes five core components : Building Relationships , Co-creating a Shared Vision , Co-creating Action Plans , Taking Collective Action , and Evaluating Collective Impact . It is designed to assess both students and teachers through our Student Leadership Survey and Teacher Leadership Survey .
We used this Leadership Framework to conduct diagnostic and summative assessments of both students and Teacher-Leaders at the start and end of the 2022-2023 school year . The aim was to gain insights into their leadership development and the effectiveness of the framework .
