In June 2023 , the ninth annual Teacher Leadership Academy marked a significant milestone . From 1,600 applicants , 69 individuals were selected and trained , ready to begin their two-year teaching journey . For the first time , the Academy was held in two locations — Armenia and Artsakh — due to the ongoing blockade . The hybrid format included both inperson and virtual components , such as our Virtual Student Leadership Camp , which connected 364 students from various regions .
“ Despite the challenges posed by distance and the situation in Artsakh , our ninth Teacher Leadership Academy was a resounding success , as reflected in the positive feedback from participants . I am confident that these Teacher-Leaders drive meaningful change and inspire their students and communities to confront their challenges with resilience and determination , thanks to the skills and competencies gained during the Academy .”
