KOCHARI CULTURE SURVEY
STUDENT PERCEPTION SURVEY
The Kochari Culture Survey asks Teacher-Leaders how they connect with Our 2050 Promise , our overall movement for educational justice , and whether they feel heard and valued within our organization . The survey was administered among 148 Teacher- Leaders from the sixth and seventh generation cohorts in May 2022 . One hundred percent of Teacher-Leaders stated that they believed in Teach For Armenia ’ s Kochari Culture , and 99 % felt committed to Our 2050 Promise . Moreover , 98 % of Teacher-Leaders felt connected to a larger movement to end educational inequity , and 97 % said they had a positive experience with Teach For Armenia .
Research conducted by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation through their “ Measures of Effective Teaching ” project found that students who feel appreciated and engaged achieve greater educational gains with their teachers than in classrooms where teachers receive lower scores from their students . That is why we administer the Student Perception Survey by Panorama Education and Teach For All twice a year . The survey consists of a set of questions measuring seven dimensions of teacher effectiveness according to students . In May 2022 , 1,510 students grades 3-12 took the survey , and their results exceeded Teach For All ’ s network result by 90 %. Our students ’ average score across all dimensions was 76 %.
