An assessment found that the immediate needs of our partner communities at the time were food , first aid supplies , evacuation plans , and psychological support , as well as training in first aid and civil defense for both students and teachers . Following the attack , the Chair of Medical Science and Emergency Situations at Yerevan State Pedagogical University visited the Areni Secondary School in Vayots Dzor to conduct workshops on basic first aid , how to react to emergency situations , and civil defense for students and teachers . Safety guidelines for future emergencies were also developed using the results from our needs assessment .
As part of our response to the conflict , a learning call for Teach For All staff was also organized , named , " Navigating Uncertainty : How Teach For Armenia is Supporting their Staff , Teachers , and Students during Escalating Conflict .” Guest speakers included members of the Teach For Armenia Senior Leadership Team , Teacher-Leader Natalie Kochunts , and psychologist Lusine Aghabekyan , who we worked with during the September attack in 2022 and during the 2020 war . Following the hostilities , Teach For Armenia also began co-chairing Teach For All ' s Education in Emergencies Community Leadership Team , represented by our first generation Alumni- Ambassador Astghik Mnatsakanyan .
