component was added to the training module and toolkit . During this phase , all materials were also adapted for e-learning in response to the new circumstances created by COVID-19 . The gender-responsive training module and toolkit are in the process of being approved and adopted by the Armenian Ministry of Education , Science , Culture , and Sports .
As part of this initiative , in 2021 Teach For Armenia worked with the Psychological Pedagogical Center of Armenia to train 62 mentors , each from different schools . In the role of mentor , teachers piloted and disseminated the gender-responsive training module and toolkit among their peers . Through this network of mentors , 1,421 teachers received training in five regions of Armenia . In addition , 20 Teach For Armenia Teacher-Leaders from four different regions were trained in the gender-responsive pedagogy techniques developed jointly by Teach For Armenia and UNICEF . Included in our partnership was financial support for eight Student-led Innovation Projects designed with a gender-equality component . One hundred twenty-one students from four regions of Armenia participated in these projects during the 2020-2021 school year .
