Teach For Armenia
PARTNERSHIP HIGHLIGHTS
Over the last five years , we have worked tirelessly to become a robust organization with a proven record of positive impact across our classrooms and communities . Our work has garnered TFA recognition both locally and internationally , rising from humble beginnings into one of the foremost voices for educational change in Armenia . We are pursuing partnerships both in Armenia and major Diaspora hubs with a wide range of institutions , government ministries , and individuals .
The growing network of our supporters in Armenia , Artsakh and across the Armenian Diaspora help our organization to be more sustainable , influential , and impactful . We work closely with Armenia ’ s Ministry of Education , Science , Culture and Sport ( MoESCS ) to provide input and feedback on national reforms as well as working with them to reorganize and improve the educational ecosystem . For the last two years , the Ministry of Diaspora ( recently restructured as the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora
Affairs at the Prime Minister ’ s administration ) utilized our educational expertise by contracting Teach For Armenia to facilitate “ Step Towards Home ”, a state-sponsored summer program for some 500 Diaspora youth .
We formalized our placement of Teacher-Leaders by signing a trilateral agreement with our partner schools and their regional government bodies under the authority of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure . Our partnership with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure ensures the alignment of TFA ’ s community impact projects with the state ’ s policy for proportional territorial development . During a meeting with TFA ’ s leadership , Minister Suren Papikyan said :
“ We now have many successful cases of devoted people leaving their comfort zone for remote border villages where they contribute to the further development of the community
