border villages . During my early years as a student , I enjoyed learning and had dreams of moving to Yerevan , as I didn ’ t believe there was a future for me in my village .
I graduated with degrees from two universities and started to work , but felt that something was wrong . I was not happy with the direction my country was taking , especially in regards to its children ’ s futures . My work with different social strata and age groups showed me that a lack of childhood education and development leads to frustration and failure later in life . I didn ’ t want to just see these flaws and idly criticize them , I wanted to make a difference .
I decided that I should start in the schools , and joined TFA because our visions for the future were aligned . Through TFA I spent two wonderful years working as a special education teacher and psychologist in Mrgashat village in the Armavir region of Armenia , where I implemented extracurricular activities in leadership development and personal growth . It was clear that our young people have great potential which just needs to be fostered and enabled . and co-created with my students , leaving me hopeful and inspired .
After my service , I joined the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies to explore the educational needs of the next generation and understand how we can integrate information-learning systems into the field of education .
Currently , I am pursuing Teach For Armenia ’ s School Leadership Pathway and amworking at the Ohanyan Educational Complex as the school ’ s Vice Principal . My job is to identify and align the needs of students , teachers , and parents . I have set a clear goal of creating a healthy educational environment where each group will feel like an important element within the educational system , increasing trust and cooperation .
I am confident that the combination of my two professions and multifaceted experiences will contribute to the development of an outstanding Armenian educational system .
