Ways to increase class counts By Dana Roxas 1. Bring a guest and win! For every guest a member brings to a class, the member’s name is entered into a raffle to win free prizes. The more friends you bring, the more chances you have to win! Prizes could be free membership time, gym gear, iPods, gift card to a local shoe store, a fitbit, Nike fuel band, or free massage. Ask local stores to donate items or gift certificates in exchange for promotion within your club or studio. 2. Have fun with open houses Decorate the club, studio, or classroom with decorations and balloons to make it feel like a party! Within the balloons place tickets that have fun prizes. Anyone who brings a guest to an open house gets to pop a balloon for a free prize. Mix it up for the theme of the party. For example, on a Halloween party, have the members “pick a pumpkin”. Create your class to compliment the theme of the open house! 3. Have themed months For example, have May be your Skinny Jeans Month! Decorate the club in blue, silver and white and hang jeans around the class space. Change one class everyday on your schedule to match your monthly theme. So instead of having your typical strength class, rename it Booty Buster and concentrate on strengthening the lower body. 4.Class of the month! Every few months, try having a “featured” class that isn’t on your normal schedule. Maybe it’s ‘Tank Top Arms Boot Camp’ or ‘Guns, Guts, and Glory’. Try something fun and eye catching to read. After spending three years as a NFL cheerleader for the Philadelphia Eagles, Dana now spends her time as a national Master Trainer and a regional manager for Lucile Roberts.
