When searching the Portland area they found Charbonneau . Robin knew this was the right place once they turned onto French Prairie Road . They found their perfect home and moved quickly . Robin enjoys playing pickleball and mahjong as well as being involved in CWA . She said , “ It is a blessing to have met so many wonderful people and to have so much activity around us . Charbonneau is truly a community that I have never experienced and it is a dream come true .”
This finishes the information I have for the wonderful women on our board this year . If you missed others , the previous Villager articles are available on our website .

Community garage sale plans comeback

The CCC is seeking people to join the organizing committee

BY JEN CHAVEZ
For the past two years , Charbonneau residents may have noticed an absence from one of the community ’ s popular summer traditions , the Charbonneau Garage Sale . Resident Carlene Lynch previously organized the community event . However , Lynch retired from the task in 2019 after over 20 years of hard work and successful outcomes .
Today the return of the Charbonneau community-wide garage sale is brewing . After receiving various resident inquiries related to the event , the CCC office staff decided to take action . General
Manager Jim Meierotto assigned my colleague Jennifer Waggoner and I to investigate the event during the summer . It was an exciting task that led to this project and this announcement to the community . Our team is still under development , but we have been working closely with Communications Director Steve Switzer and Activities Chair and Board Secretary Pat Tewell as we prepare for the event . Plans also include General Manager Jim Meierotto and Property Manager Rick Schram ’ s leadership and involvement as the project develops . The team is searching for resident volunteers interested in community safety and security , event planning logistics and creative marketing to join the committee . In addition , the team will be reaching out to Charbonneau HOAs who have previously participated in past garage sales . The team will also reach out to HOA ’ s who have not had the opportunity to participate yet .
Overall , the CCC is excited to bring the event back during the summer of 2022 . Cash exchange for finding homes for the treasures that no longer serve us is a productively entertaining way to spend a warm summer morning . However , as expressed by garage sale guru Carlyne Lynch herself , “ It is a great way to become better acquainted with your neighbors and an opportunity to meet new people .”
Be on the lookout for our community newsletters for updates , surveys and additional content related to the event . If you are interested in joining the committee , please reach out to the CCC team at 503-694-2300 or office @ charbonneaucountryclub . com .
