Author Visit - Jennifer Gray Report by Heather MacDonald and Lauren Walker P6R Website Atticus Claw On the 18 February P3 to P6 had the opportunity to meet children’s author, Jennifer Gray. Contact us When Jennifer came we learnt more about what it takes to be an author. We also learnt about how she created her character, Atticus Claw from her very lazy cat Henry. We thought about how we might create our own character from our pet or from our imagination and some of us had fun acting out a key scene from her book, Atticus Claw Breaks the Law! Twitter Ryder Cup Tickets On Tuesday 18 February the whole school took part in a non uniform day when £574.32 was raised. 20% of the total will go to the school fund and the rest will be used to invest in Ryder Cup tickets. The Ryder Cup tickets are currently with St Margaret’s Hospital – our local community Hospital and our most local charity. By giving them our funds, we are supporting our local Hospital, and they will be able to donate to us a number of Ryder Cup tickets in return. Our fundraising has therefore helped our local community and will also directly benefit our school community. Once we know how many tickets we have, we will set up a prize draw for any pupil interested in being part of the Ryder Cup. Many thanks for supporting this fundraising event.
