Pupil Achievements
Finn the Champion Wins Bronze! (by Arwen in P6)
Finn, in P6, won Bronze in his Glasgow Karate competition
and has also won before in Scone. His coach, Cathy,
teaches Auchterarder groups and has led him to victory!
Finn attends the Monday and Saturday groups for extra
training and is currently grading for Green Belt. He has
recently achieved his Yellow Belt and is hoping to enter
another competition. He is hoping for Gold one day and
wants to compete in the British Championships. He is
aiming high!
Finn is so happy that he is grading for his Green Belt and is
hoping that he will get his Black Belt in the future.
Jenson Cycles Competitively (by Nina H)
Jenson in P2 came third in his latest cycling competition.
He was the youngest cyclist in the competition by at least
three years. He started at the age of five and has worked
his way to compete fiercely and competitively by the age
of six.
When he achieved his latest win, he was emotional with
happy tears when he found out.
Jenson told us, ‘Cycling is a tricky sport with obstacles you
had to get over. The obstacles were jumps, small paths,
vines and trees. When I became third I was puffed out.’
He does other sports such as running but likes cycling way
more.
Cameron Reaches Over the Rainbow (by P6 pupils)
Cameron, P4, made a fantastic ‘McCoo’
highland cow picture along with his classmates.
Mrs Snedden and Cameron got in touch with the
real artist, Steven Brown to thank him for the
work that inspired Cameron’s picture. You can
imagine his delight when he got a personalized
reply from Steven himself!
Steven replied that Cameron’s art work was
amazing and to keep up the good work. This was
great feedback coming from a true artist!
Cameron is going to write back to Steven Brown
to say ‘thank you’ for his reply and to explain
why he made this incredible artwork and sent it
to him. Cameron’s painting was so successful;
we hope he will do some more paintings in the
future.
