Perth and Kinross Sports Awards
We are delighted to announce that our
Secondary Level 3 Gymnastics Team has won
the ‘School Team of the Year Award’ at the
2017 Sports Awards held on Friday 16 March.
Mrs Tramontanas, Teacher of PE, nominated
the girls after their hard work resulted in them
being crowned National School Champions
last year.
Hannah, Chloe and Daisy joined Mrs
Tramontanas at the event where three
finalists of each category eagerly awaited
winner announcements. The gymnasts
enjoyed reception drinks and buffet followed
by an inspirational speech from Mark
Beaumont. Alex was kept up to date but
couldn’t join us as she is currently in Australia.

Well done also to Auchterarder Gymnastics Club which won ‘Club of the Year’. It was great
to share this evening with club representatives who we work so well in partnership with.
2018 Schools’ Gymnastics National Championships
On Sunday 18 March, Mary, Abi, Rachel
and Arianne competed in the 2018
School
Gymnastics
National
Championships in the new Level 3
category. They placed 11th and made
some big improvements from their
qualification performances.
We also had Nicholas, Abbi, Eilidh and
Ceara performing in the Primary Level 4
Finals competition. These gymnasts have
had to take a huge step from Level 1 and
2 last year due to new rules. Their team
finished 4th with much improved floor
scores for the girls.Well done to these
gymnasts, pictured here with ‘Chook’,
their mascot.
A reminder that our Pre-level Team – Louis, Luke, Courtney and Lexie and our Level 1 Team
– Freya, Zoe, Eilidh and Molly will train on Thursdays 4.00 -5.00pm after the holidays in
preparation for their finals on Saturday May 12th.
