MEET THE PARTICIPANTS
Literature programs. This is her
second year to work with TCR’s
Underground Play Festival.
Directing credits include a variety
of devised and scripted pieces as
well as world premieres for the
Llano Estacado Institute for the
Performing Arts, TCR, The Old
Creamery Theatre and a variety
of venues across the Midwest.
She is an Associate Member of
the Stage Director’s and
Choreographer’s Society and
holds a dual MFA in both Acting
and Directing.
Amber Wieland (The Eleventh
Chapter) Amber is a junior at the
University of Iowa majoring in
Communication Studies and
minoring in Cinema. This is
her first onstage performance
at Theatre Cedar Rapids. She
would like to send shoutouts to
her family, cast/crew members,
and friends who helped make
this production possible with their
support!
Per Wiger (Playwright, Look for
America) Per is an actor and
writer from Minneapolis. He
recently graduated from Cornell
College and is living in Iowa with
his loved ones and their cat.
Al Willett (Cutting the Cord) Al is
delighted to be in this wonderful
satire, Cutting the Cord. Al
appreciates acting in any play
written by Duane Larson or
directed by Taylor James Foster.
Al is having a great time on stage
with an “old” acting friend, Chip,
and “new” acting friends, Fred
and the Automated Voice. Al
was last seen in the 2014-15
season of the Underground
Festival in plays written by Duane
Larson or directed by Taylor
James Foster. Al dedicates his
performance to his beautiful and
patient wife, Lori.
Chensu Zhu (The Eleventh
Chapter) Chensu is a Kirkwood
student from China. She has
been here for two years. This is
her first time being a part of a
play! Hopefully it will go well.
