MEET THE PARTICIPANTS
born and raised in California,
recently moved to the area with
her family after attending a
private college in Eugene,
Oregon. She graduated with
a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical
Theology with a minor in Creative
Arts and Drama Performance.
While studying, Lauren was able
to work closely with a variety of
incredible performers, most
notably Larry Kenton. Larry is a
professional musician known for
his work with Disney and
their movies, UP and
Ratatouille. While working with
Larry, he taught her several vital
lessons in the field of
theater, but her favorite lesson
she learned from Larry was what
he displayed in his passion for the
arts. “Larry showed me that your
passion only dies when you do.
And to be at a theater like TCR,
that is so excellent, I couldn’t be
more excited or grateful!”
Brian Tanner (Director, World
of Lovelies) Brian’s previous
work with the TCR Underground
Festival includes appearing as
the “Man” in Control and wrote
the one act play Broken Branches
and short plays The Hole Story
and Bus People. He also directs,
acts, and does about anything
else you can think of in theatre.
He recently appeared as Ben in
Dreamwell’s Death of a
Salesman.
Kenneth Van Egdon (Director,
Feeding) Ken has been
heavily involved in the local
theater scene since his return to
Iowa in 2007. Until now, his time
at TCR has been spent
performing on the main stage,
but he is very excited and proud
to make his TCR directing debut
with this great script and
fantastic cast. “Thanks to LC, PT,
BB, AT and PD for inspiration and
guidance, and to JM for your
constant and unending support,
patience, and understanding.”
Lindsey Vincent (Cutting the
Cord, Feeding) Lindsey lives in
Iowa City and loves theatre. This
is her first show at TCR and she is
thrilled to be working with a new
theatre group with such talent
and hospitality.
Janeve West (Director, Look for
America) Janeve is an Associate
Professor of Theatre at Cornell
College where she is the Head of
the Directing and History/
