Regional Conference. Her short
play, Remembrance, was
published in an online literary
journal in April 2015.
David S. Schneider (Director,
The Eleventh Chapter) David is
an associate member of Stage
Directors & Choreographers
Society (SDC), the nation’s
directing union, and is thrilled
to return to the Underground
Festival to work with playwright
Laura Schmidt after directing her
ten-minute play Remembrance,
as well as Shatter of Rain, in last
season’s festival. David holds the
MFA in directing from SIU
Carbondale (IL). His past
projects include The Weir at TCR,
The Boys Next Door at Giving
Tree Theater, Alice in
Wonderland, I Dream Before I
Take the Stand, A Midsummer
Night’s Dream, The Pilgrim’s
Progress, and Puccini’s Gianni
Schicchi. Since moving back to
Iowa four years ago, David also
has appeared onstage at various
theaters in The Glass Menagerie
(Tom), The Great Gatsby (Nick
Carraway), Les Misérables
(Joly/Ensemble), and Coriolanus
(Aedile/Citizen); and spends his
days working at Nordstrom.com
in Cedar Rapids. He would like
to thank everyone, especially
Erica, Laura, Aaron, and the cast,
whose hard work and creativity
has made this show possible.
Philip Schramp (The Eleventh
Chapter) Whenever time allows,
Philip is ready to play with the
many theater friends he has met
through shows at TCR,
Brucemore, and Giving Tree.
Favorite roles at TCR include Jake
in Neil Simon’s Jake’s Women
and the Senator in TCR’s
Underground Festival production
of The Summerland Project. Philip
thanks his family for their support
and David, the cast, crew, and
TCR for this opportunity.
Nathan Shepard (Director, The
Dictator’s Daughter) Nathan,
director of The Dictator’s
Daughter, is proud to experience
the Underground Festival for the
first time. Nathan lives in Atkins
with his wife, Sarah, and their
three children, Grayson, Oliver,
and Lillian. Nathan first
performed on TCR’s stage in
Miracle on 34th Street and
recently in The Great Gatsby.
