MEET THE PARTICIPANTS
He has been in numerous plays in
the past four years of high school
at Theatre Cedar Rapids from
doing the Underground New
Play Festival for the past four
years to RUR to Mary Poppins.
Tristan was also in other shows
with RHCR and Brucemore.
Tristan is so happy to be in such
an amazing place and hopes
everyone enjoys this season’s
Festival. Don’t be a “little sissy,
lily-livered girlie bull” and have
fun, laugh, and cry with the
magic of theater.
Tamsin McAtee (Feeding) Tamsin
McAtee originally wasn’t going
to audition for the Underground,
but sometimes magic happens,
a character needs a voice, and
“abracadabra!” she has a part.
This is Tamsin’s third show and her
first time in the Grandon. She is
very excited. She currently works
for Abbehealth and wants to
thank her husband for his
support.
James McEniry (For the Care
and Control of the Insane, World
of Lovelies) This is the fourth go
around for James in The
Underground. He directed his
first two years and this is his
second year performing. He was
also in The Great Gatsby on the
main stage last spring. You may
also recognize him from his roles
as Lance in the 1997 Afterschool
Special “Too Soon for Jeff” and
coffeehouse customer #4 in the
Seventh Heaven episode “Small
Miracles”.
John Miersen (The Eleventh
Chapter) This is John’s second
time at the Festival. He was most
recently seen in Wit at Giving
Tree Theater, The Great Gatsby,
No Safe Refuge, and
Tinderella, at TCR. John came to
Cedar Rapids to study at
Kirkwood and was involved
in their theater program while
attending. He currently works
at Acme Tools and would like to
thank his father, brother, and the
rest of his family for their
continued support.
Kelly Montijo Fink (Look for
