MEET THE PARTICIPANTS
500 or so adults. “Tell me that
isn’t great training for a part at
TCR!” Barbara is married and
has three lovely children who
may or may not claim her as their
wife or mother at any given point
in time.
Bonnie Beyer (The Eleventh
Chapter, For the Care and
Control of the Insane) Bonnie is
excited to be in her first TCR
production. She was bitten by
the acting bug performing in
several plays and musicals with
ACT 1 of Benton County
community theater group. Bonnie
is an engineering project
manager at Rockwell Collins.
When she isn’t acting or
working, she enjoys boating,
running, biking, and directing
her church choir. Bonnie wants
to thank her husband and son
for their support, her fellow cast
members for their hard work, and
her directors for their insight and
vision!
Luke Brooks (Director, Toilet
Note) Luke is a senior theatre
major at Cornell College in
Mount Vernon. This is his first
time directing in the Festival,
although he has directed before,
most notably Dr. Horrible’s SingA-Long Blog with Compass Rose
Theatre in Iowa City. He’d like to
thank the good people at TCR for
supporting new works and rising
artists.
Cheryl Burns (Feeding) Cheryl
has been volunteering with local
community theatre for over 17
years, but this is her first time
being cast in a show. She has
served as an usher for many
years at TCR, as well as serving
as House Manager for both
RHCR and Revival Theatre
Company, and also volunteers
in the box office at TCR. She is
looking forward to this new
experience of performing
onstage and thanks the patrons
for supporting these original new
plays in the Underground
Festival.
Craig Byers (Cutting the Cord,
The Dictator’s Daughter) Craig
is very happy to be cast in this
year’s Underground Play Festival.
This is the second festival Craig
has been in, and he is
thoroughly enjoying it. Craig has
been involved with TCR
performing on the main stage
