AMY S. OSATINSKI
DIRECTOR
A recent transplant from Denver, CO, Amy is an Assistant Professor of
Directing at the University of Northern Iowa and holds a PhD in Theatre
from the University of Colorado Boulder. Amy recently published Disney
Theatrical Productions: Producing Broadway Musicals the Disney Way,
the first academic book to explore the company’s history and production
practices. Past directing credits include: Hair and Legacy of Light at UNI,
Colorado: The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds at
CU Boulder, Regional premiere of Spring Awakening the Musical and

JANELLE LAUER
MUSIC DIRECTOR
Janelle has been a staple in the music scene in Iowa for over two
decades, after studying Vocal Performance at the University of Iowa,
and Music Business at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. She has
been the Music Director of nearly 60 shows in the corridor (at The Old
Creamery Theatre Company, Theatre Cedar Rapids, Cornell College,
University of Iowa, RHCR, and City Circle Acting Company). A private
voice coach by day, Janelle is a founding member of SPT Theatre
Company, performing regularly and serving as a producer for their
well-followed “Tales From the Writer’s Room” series. SPT is a small
non-profit professional theatre company based in Cedar Rapids that
believes that artists should be paid to create art and SPT strives to create
those opportunities for actors, musicians, tech people, and writers.
She has toured the country extensively, performing solo as well as with
Divapalooza and SPT. A Samuel French recording artist, Janelle has 3
solo alums and has been included on a compilation album, “Female
Tribute to Tom Waits, Volume Two,” where she shares credit with Sarah
McLachlan, Norah Jones, and Diana Krall. Janelle is a firm believer in
“Seize the Day” and thanks you for supporting live theatre!
