Benjamin Schmidt (Chase)
Benjamin is thrilled to be on the
TCR mainstage for the first time.
When not being an Idiot, Ben
enjoys his day job as a gardener
at Brucemore or his “real job”
as a freelance Musical Director
and Conductor. Music direction
credits include: Shrek the
Musical, A Chorus Line, A
Christmas Story, and most
recently Disney’s The Little
Mermaid. Conducting credits
include The Wizard of Oz and
Mary Poppins. Love and thanks:
ns, jb, ed, lc, sh, dk, Mom, Dad,
and Tony.
Ashley Schonberg (Leslie)
This is Ashley’s first time
performing on TCR’s stage, but
she’s been here helping with
costumes since The Great
Gatsby. Ashley has played bass
with various bands and choirs
since 1998ish and thought it was
time to step up her game with
a rock opera - it’s been great!
She’d like to thank Leslie, Janelle,
and Aaron for the opportunity
to make some TCR magic, and
she’d like to thank her parents
and Brandon for not letting her
chicken out before auditions.

Rizwan Sidhu (Johnny) This is
Rizwan’s first time performing in
a TCR production, and he’s super
thrilled about it! He has also
performed as Sid Sorokin in The
Pajama Game, and many times
with his improv team at his former
high school. Rizwan would like
to thank all his phenomenal
castmates, directors, and
parents for being so awesome
and supportive this whole time!
He hopes you enjoy the show!
David Wasserman (Will)
David is wicked excited to be
back in town. He was hatched
and grown in Iowa City. His
lifetime love of music eventually
drew him to the stage. At the
University of Northern Iowa, he
studied classical voice and
performance art before
beginning to pursue drama
seriously. He graduated in 2015
with a unique degree in
Multidisciplinary Performing Arts.
His favorite roles include Moritz
and Melchior in Spring
Awakening, Marius in Les
Misérables, Jamie in The Great
God Pan, and John in Scotland
Road.
