Aaron Kruger( Miguel) American Idiot is Aaron’ s first TCR production and appropriate as he first saw Green Day rock Lollapalooza at age 10. Aaron attends Iowa City West High and is active in Theatre West, Student Produced Independent Theatre( SPIT), show choir, and band. He has also performed in Mary Poppins, Oliver!, Bye, Bye Birdie, and The Wizard of Oz. Aaron thanks his entire family for their love and support, music lessons, guitars, and rides to and from TCR over the past few weeks.
Robert Morris( Andrew) Robert is excited to be making his TCR debut. He has most recently appeared in City Circle’ s productions of Sweeney Todd and as Robert Livingston in 1776. Robert is currently a graduate student in linguistics at the University of Iowa, where he also works in IT support.
Maddie Olsem( Mary Jane) Maddie will be entering her fourth year as a Vocal Music Education major at Iowa State and is excited to be taking the stage again at TCR. Her previous performances include TCR’ s A Chorus Line, ISU Theatre’ s The Secret Garden, The Magic Flute, Les Misérables, and many more.

Josh Payne( Tunny) Josh is very excited to return to the TCR stage after a long hiatus of performing. After his most recent role as Ernst in Spring Awakening, Josh set his sights on Los Angeles, CA where he worked on various sets for movies and television. After a neardeath experience, Josh moved back to his hometown and is now starting a career of building homes in the Eastern Iowa area. Josh is beyond stoked to play Tunny and would like to thank Leslie and Janelle for giving him this opportunity.
David Scanlon( St. Jimmy) This is David’ s first performance at TCR. He has performed across the Midwest as a solo acoustic act and with various musical groups. By day, he pursues a degree in Social Work and Drug Dependency Counseling. He’ d like to thank the extraordinary folks at TCR who helped him to feel safe enough to be brave.
