TCR Playbills Disney's The Little Mermaid | Page 30
Alexis Spence (Ensemble)
This is Alexis’ second show at
TCR, being previously seen in A
Christmas Story, The Musical.
She’s also done previous shows
at school here in Iowa and in
Mexico. She attends Johnson
STEAM Academy, plays soccer,
and does gymnastics. She would
like to thank her sisters and her
Mom and Dad for their support.
Nikki Stewart (Ariel) Nikki
first jumped in on the TCR scene
for the 2007 production of
Aladdin, Jr. under the direction
of Casey Prince. Fourteen shows
and nearly 10 years later, she
feels incredibly honored to fulfill
childhood dreams by portraying
a Disney princess - under the
direction of Casey Prince once
again. Some favorite past roles
at TCR include, but certainly
are not limited to Eponine (Les
Misérables), Gingy (Shrek, the
Musical), and most recently
Natalie (Next to Normal). When
away from the theatre, Nikki
enjoys playing with her kitten,
Penelope and teaching herself
ukelele. She extends her extreme
gratitude to the directing team for
their constant inspiration,
patience, and support.
Jake Stigers (King Triton)
Jake is thrilled to be back on
the TCR stage after a 15-year
hiatus in Chicago. His favorite
TCR roles include Smudge in
Forever Plaid and Bobby in A
Chorus Line. Now that he’s back
in Iowa, he’s had the honor of
performing in Wit at The Giving
Tree Theater and being a guest
writer for SPT Theatre. Playing
King Triton marks the first time
he’s been cast as a parent, so
please forgive him if he lets his
merdaughters watch too much
TV. He’s still learning.
Jon Turk (Prince Eric) Jon is
thrilled to be making his fourth
appearance on the TCR stage.
After his debut in the cast of Les
Misérables in 2014, Jon has also
had the privilege of singing in
the Grand Chorus in Rodgers &
Hammerstein: Classics in
Concert! at the Paramount,
portraying the Park Keeper and
other ensemble roles in Mary
Poppins, and most recently
playing the role of Mark in A
Chorus Line. Jon would like to
thank his family and friends for
their continued support of his
theatrical pursuits, the directing
team for the opportunity to play
a Disney prince, and the cast and
crew for making this a “fintastic”
experience.
