Tanzania has one of the largest gold reserves in Africa. In
fact, it is estimated to have about 45 million ounces of gold
in its reserves! This high concentration of the mineral is why
Tanzania is currently the fourth-largest gold producer in Africa.
Other minerals found in Tanzania include diamonds, iron, coal,
uranium, graphite and many other minerals. A recent 2015
discovery of graphite could make Tanzania one of the largest
producers of this mineral in the world in the near future.
