fashion magazine. Ang kanyang
panganay na kapatid ay isang
ramp model habang ang kanyang
bunsong kapatid na dalawang
taong gulang ay isinasali na rin
sa mga baby contests. Nais ni
Justin na maging artista paglaki
at maging sikat tulad ng idolo
niyang si Inigo Pascual.

Bukod sa pagmomodelo,
isa ring mahusay na dancer si
Justin. Siya ay talent-student ng
sikat na dance group na G-force
sa kasalukuyan.

September 5, 2018 ang City Annual
Investment Program for FY 2019
kung saan nakapaloob dito ang mga
panukalang proyekto na popondohan
ng pamahalaang lungsod, na
ang kabuuang halaga ay humigit
kumulang sa P13.5 bilyon.

Binuksan
ni

Beverley Rose Dimacuha ang
pagpupulong kung saan ipinahayag
niya ang mga naging positibong
pagbabago sa lungsod pamula ng
siya ay umupo noong 2016 kagaya
ng mga infrastructure projects, mga
accomplishments sa disaster risk
reduction and management, paglalapit
ng pamahalaan sa mamamayan
, pagharap sa mga kalamidad na
walang ni isa mang Batangueno na
nasawi at iba pang nagawa niya.

“Marami
pang
dapat
gawin, ayusin, pangakong dapat
tupadin, kahilingan na dapat tugunan.
Hinihiling po namin ang inyong
pasensya sapagkat hindi sabay- sabay
na mapopondohan ang ating mga
pangangailangan,” sabi ng mayor.
Ang magandang balita aniya ay
partner sila ni Congressman Marvey
Mariño na malaki ang nagiging
tulong sa pangangalap ng pondo para
sa mga pagawaing bayan sa lungsod.

Ang Batangas City AIP
for FY 2019 ay binahagi sa tatlong
sektor: ang general public sevices,
social services at economic services.
Ang mga panukalang programa at
proyekto na nakapaloob sa general
public services sector ay para sa mga
tanggapan sa ilalim ng City Mayor’s
Office at ilang departamento ng
pamahalaang lungsod.

Ang social services ay para
sa education, scholarship, disaster
risk reduction and management, City
Health Office, City Social Welfare
and Development Office at Colegio
ng Lungsod ng Batangas habang ang
economic services ay para sa Office of
the City Veterinary and Agricultural
Services , City Market Administrator ,
City Engineer’s Office, infrastructure
at non-infrastructure projects at City
ENRO.

Sunod inaprubahan ang
updated Batangas City Shelter Plan for
2016-2021. Ito ay para sa kapakanan
ng mga informal shelters na malimit
waterways. Ang planong ito ang isa
mga requirements na hinahanap sa
evaluation ng paggawad ng Seal of
Good Local Governance bago ito
ipagkaloob ng Department of Interior
and Local Government sa isang local
government unit.
Huling
inaprubahan
ng council ang Working Vision,
development strategy, and proposed
urban land form/development spatial
strategies for the preparation of the
Batangas City Comprehensive Land
Use Plan (CLUP) for 2019-2028
kabilang ang City Comprehensive
Development
Plan,
Ecological
Profile,
Local
Development
Investment Program at Zoning
Ordinance.

Ang proposed Working
Vision ng Batangas City ay
binalangkas ng city government,
mga stakeholders at ng Palafox
Associates na siyang nakuhang
consultant ng pamahalaang lungsod
sa pamamagitan ng public bidding
upang maibahagi nila ang kanilang
expertise sa urban planning sa
pagbabalangkas ng 10 year- Batangas
City CLUP for 2019-2028.

Ito ang proposed Working
Vision- “Internationally recognized
progressive, secure, smart and
resilient sustainable Regional Rural
Urban Port City, engaged in stable
agro-industrial development and other
profitable businesses, strengthened
by state-of-the-art infrastructure,
amenities, technologies, and globally
competent and responsible citizens
while conserving its bio-diverse
environment and rich cultural
heritage, governed by responsive
ethical servant leaders.”

Ang mga inaprubahang ito
ng CDC ay isusumite sa Sangguniang
Panglungsod upang pagtibayin.
Nagbigay din ng development updates
ang city planning and development
coordinator na si Engr./EnP Januario
Godoy habang nag-ulat ng kalagayan
ng city environment and hepe ng City
ENRO na si Engr. Oliver Gonzales.
Ibinalita naman ng secretary to the
mayor na si Atty. Victor Reginald
Dimacuha na lumaki ang capital
investmens sa Batangas City mula
p700-P800 million noong 2016,
P900 million noong 2017 at ngayong
January-June 2018 ay umabot na sa

MIRIAM SUPPORTERS URGE
PRESIDENT DUTERTE TO
CONFER HER THE QSC AWARD

YOUTH supporters of Senator Miriam
Defesor-Santiago called on President
Rodrigo Duterte to already confer
her the Quezon Service Cross (QSC)
Award on Tuesday, September 10.

In
December
2017,
President Duterte nominated the QSC
award to Santiago. However, the award
has yet to be given to the late senator
since it is still pending with the Office
of the President.

“We now humbly request
His Excellency Rodrigo Roa Duterte
to expedite the process and take the
immediate and appropriate action to
posthumously award the QSC to the
late Miriam Defensor Santiago,” the
Youth Reform Movement said in a
statement on Inquirer.

“Right now, the disposition
of the Filipino continues to be broken
and dispirited, due to corruption in
government, that only few can be
trusted, thus, this act of the President
may serve as a motivation for Filipinos
to work excellently and honestly even
if others will not.”

According
the
youth
supporters, “the deferral of giving this
award turns to be so long and overdue.”

“It is high time we remind
the Filipino of our shared destiny by
awarding the republic’s highest honor
to a pillar of academic excellence,
professional competence, and moral
integrity; and that the Filipinos may be
inspired and move to follow suit,” the
group said.

The QSC award is the
highest award the republic accords its
civil servants.

Miriam served all three
branches of the government in her
entire life of public service. The
’tough-talking’ senator was also the
first Filipino to be elected judge of the
International Criminal Court (ICC),
based in The Hague, Netherlands, in
2011.

Senator Miriam was known
for her strong interpellations at the
Senate and funny pickup lines during
her speeches.
