Atlanta Bar Foundation Reflections On a Busy
2025
The Atlanta Bar Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Atlanta Bar Association, had another busy and productive year. Early in the year we were honored to welcome six new Board members, Charlotte Murphy from The Coca-Cola Company, Stacey Keegan from The Home Depot, Paul Coburn from Levine Smith Coburn & Koslin, LLC, Marquetta Bryan from Pierson Ferdinand, Steve LaBriola from Fellows LaBriola LLP and Emily Ward from Barron Ward LLC whom we snagged coming off her successful stint as President of the Bar Association. The Foundation is already benefitting from the fresh ideas generated by our rookie Board members.

In the summer, the Foundation hosted its annual“ Summer of Fun” events to raise money for the Foundation’ s activities. We tested ourselves against other Jeopardy mavens at Trivia Night, sipped wine at our Wine tasting event, and knocked down some smooth whiskey at Whiskey Night. And we capped off the summer with the 24th Annual Legal Runaround event to benefit the Foundation’ s Police Scholarship Fund. A record crowd came out to run or walk or cheer on the participants at Westside Park. Planning is already underway for next year’ s special 25th annual race, during which we will also mark the 25th anniversary of the tragic 9 / 11 terrorist attacks on our country.
And speaking of planning, please make sure to mark your calendars for the evening of January 22, 2026, when we will host our first ever talent show. Think America’ s Got Talent. Our version, Atlanta Bar Revue: We’ re Briefly Talented, is a chance for Atlanta’ s lawyers, law students and other legal professionals to showcase their musical or comedic talent to a panel of celebrity judges and a live audience. One stage. Many talents. Unlimited bragging rights!
