the Constitution, and its rulings must be obeyed for we are“ a government of laws, not of men.”
We believe it is important to stand up for the Rule of Law and to speak out forcefully when it is attacked or undermined by those in power. We support judges and decry unwarranted attacks on them. We support lawyers and staunchly defend their right and duty to provide representation, without fear of retaliation, to anyone who needs it, especially people whose cause may be unpopular and in conflict with the position of the government.
Our animating principle is that while we recognize the right of the government to adopt policies, those

policies must be lawful, and they must be implemented in a lawful and constitutional fashion. Moreover, we believe that when the government threatens judges, retaliates against lawyers, fails to obey court rulings, or otherwise violates the law or the Constitution, such actions undermine the Rule of Law and threaten our justice system. We believe all lawyers should be able to agree on this.
We strive to be nonpartisan and invite lawyers from all political backgrounds to stand with us. We are growing in number every day and, if you agree with our philosophy and our mission, we invite you to stand with us in defense of the Rule of Law. For two decades, the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network( GAIN) has stood firmly on one belief: justice should not be reserved for the few. Since 2005, this nonprofit has provided free legal services to immigrants and asylum seekers in Georgia, even as political tides shift and humanitarian protections waver.
This year, GAIN marked its 20th anniversary with its annual Taste of the World fundraiser, an evening filled with global cuisine, community spirit, and a shared commitment to justice. More than 370 attendees helped raise over $ 400,000 in unrestricted funds. These donations do more than keep the lights on, they allow GAIN to say“ yes” to those in urgent need, pivot quickly in moments of crisis, and launch bold, innovative strategies to make legal services more accessible and equitable. and legal protections are unraveling, unrestricted giving allows us to show up, especially when no one else can,” said GAIN’ s leadership.“ It’ s not just charity; it’ s an act of courage.”
As GAIN looks to the future, the support from events like Taste of the World ensures that immigrants seeking safety in Georgia don’ t just survive, they find a place to belong.
