1950s
Janet ( Burrill ) Polanski ’ 57 writes , “ still enjoying living in Florida and traveling as much as possible . Hope to make it to the next reunion in September 2024 .”
Joan Crogan Youngs ' 54 writes , " Can ' t wait for the 70th reunion this year . Still skiing & competing in the Senior Olympics . Spend many days at my camp at Crystal Lake in Maine . Keep in touch with 3 friends I graduated with ."
1960s
Bruce Miller ’ 60 has camped in all of the lower 48 states and most of Canada . He writes that he ’ s “ now square dancing and camping between Maine and Florida .”
Catherine Roberts Larkin ' 62 writes , " Turned 80 ! Still alive ! Whoopie ! And with great thanks ."
1970s
Chuck Tsomides ’ 73 tells , “ Happy to have seen friends at our 50th reunion in September & to see 70 years of age .”
Mike Davis ’ 79 tells us , “ Retirement time has come !! I retired July 1st 2023 and am enjoying it so far . We moved to Florida in 2013 and live in Tavares and I was last working for Lake County Schools in Florida . We have 5 grandchildren that keep us busy !!
Don Ross ’ 78 writes , “ My wife and I have been married 38 years and I have lived in Florida ever since graduating from Thornton and then being stationed in Key West while in the Coast Guard . We have a son who is 36 , three dogs , two boats and enjoy the warm weather !”
Mary Bess ( Libby ) Donovan ’ 79 retired 3 years ago and works with her husband at his business , K & S Overhead Doors , Inc . The couple have six grandchildren and travel . Keith will retire in December 2024 and the two plan to travel more in their motorhome .
1980s
Classmates and TA baseball teammates Kenny Huot ( left ) and Kevin Morse from the Class of 1980 are pictured here tailgating in Tampa , Florida , in December as the Jacksonville Jaguars visited the Tampa Bay Bucs . Kenny is a season ticket holder for the Jags and Kevin is one for the Bucs . Kenny tells us , “ The Bucs beat the Jaguars that day ! But good times had by all .”
1990s
Kristen " Chippi " Fenderson ’ 94 and Christopher Rowe ’ 94 were married in October 2022 . Congratulations !
Amy ( Levassuer ) DesRoberts ‘ 97 has returned to TA as our new Development Associate & Events Coordinator . In addition to fundraising , Amy focuses on community and alumni engagement , which includes growing Thornton ’ s annual auction , Hall of Fame celebration , and annual Senior Alumni Reunion .
