Michelle Goulet ’ 96 received the Maine and New England Veteran Owned Small Business of the Year Award from the Small Business Administration .
Michelle operates Kidz Go Eco , a naturebased , Reggio Emilia inspired preschool in Saco that promotes education through outdoor learning . The nature-based and student centered program uses self-directed , experiential learning that entices young minds to become lifelong learners in an ever-changing world .
Michelle spent 8 years in the U . S . Air Force and the Air National Guard as an aerospace medic , stationed in Bangor , Germany , Hawaii , Texas , and Washington , D . C .
Peter ‘ 65 & Bridget ( Dupuis ) ‘ 67 Scontras
The Way Way Store and owners Peter ’ 65 and Bridget ( Dupuis ) ’ 67 Scontras were featured in the nationally-televised show , “ CBS Sunday Morning .” The Saco landmark , listed on the National Register of Historic Places , first opened in 1916 . The two alumni and retired teachers have been operating the Way Way Store since 2011 and continue to offer many nostalgic products , including the store ’ s popular penny candy .
