THORNTON ACADEMY ANNUAL REPORT 2021-2022

Respect , Responsibility , Compassion and Investment . These are the four pillars that inspire our Thornton Academy students . Each year we are reminded of the strength of those pillars as our alumni and community continue to generously support the Thornton Fund .
Your gifts are the foundation that keeps the Thornton Academy community strong . You make it possible to provide a free lunch program , cutting edge STEM classes , outstanding extracurricular activities , an enriching campus life and , of course , to offer our students the best education they can find anywhere .
These are the exceptional offerings that make Thornton Academy the truly special place that we all hold dear . On behalf of the entire Thornton Academy family , thank you for choosing to support the future of our students .
Going once , going twice …
Guest Auctioneer Vangel Cotsis ‘ 85 takes a bid during the Thornton Fund Auction , held in May . The auction raised more than $ 100,000 to support academic and extracurricular programming , as well as funding to help students who face food insecurity or may need other basic necessities , such as eye glasses and winter coats . The in-person event returned after a two year hiatus . Vangel also sits on the TA ’ s Board of Trustees .
In preparing this report , every effort has been made to accurately recognize our supporters .
