KGU Hunt for GOTY crown takes shape Kenya Amateur Golf Championship ‐ 2019 Daniel Nduva P lus 4 golfer Samuel Njoroge maintains a healthy lead at the top of the Kenya Amateur Golf Championship series despite missing two crucial events. Njoroge leads the series by virtue of winning three events- Sigona Bowl, Mt Kenya Championship and the Railway Invitational. He finished third at the Kenya Amateur Match Play event. He missed the Muthaiga Open and Coronations Trophy events while on international tour of duty in Qatar and Ireland. in the series. The long-hitting Nduva has been in fine form of late winning the Coronation Trophy and the Windsor Classic round. Mombasa Golf Club’s Mathew Wahome wraps up the top three position thanks to his winning performance at the Trans Nzoia Championship. The early pacesetters should be wary of the chasing pack of Simon Njogu, William Odera and Paul Muchangi. The Kenya Amateur Golf Championship series is used to select players to the national team.
